We got a new 32" HDTV for Christmas and we want to mount it to the wall above our fireplace. Are mobile home walls sturdy enough to hold it? It only weighs 25 pounds so it is not a big heavy one. We are going to buy one of the wall mounts. My other concern is that it is going to be above the fireplace, as long as it is high up there should be no problem with the heat right? We live in Florida and we have never used the fireplace, but just in the event that we decide to would it be okay?

A modern mobile home should use wood beams behind the walls, and you can screw the mount into those. If you have an older model, check, because some were built in all sorts of crazy (and substandard) ways. As for the fireplace, I don’t think you should be running it with an LCD above, a they kick out a LOT of heat that will cause the set to malfunction.
