how do you find information on logs sent down the river which sunk yrs ago, and have reimurged? antique value?

logs which had sunk in the rivers are popping up now and when they dry out they are used for objects such as fireplace mantles etc.

I’ve heard of them taken to saw mills and cut for wood so I wouldn’t think that there is too much antique value. I saw on television that in some rivers, quite a few logs end up at the bottom of the river so companies retrieve them to take them to the saw mill.
