The house I just bought has a old cast iron looking insert in the fireplace with "Kalamazoo" engraved on it in big letters. There are two heavy doors (no glass or windows). I couldn’t really find any pictures or information on it. I was curious if anyone knows how much this is worth, and if it would be something worth holding on to and restoring? Thanks!!

Well, it really depends on a lot of factors; the biggest one being is someone looking for that specific model and style. I would throw a listing on craigs list with a picture or maybe on e-Bay and see what people are willing to pay for it. If anything it would be great to restore and use in your own home.
fireplace inserts are not that old. so i doubt if it is worth much more than $100.00
