Hi David
I’m totally with you, there’s nothing quite like a fireplace to warm up a home (in all meanings of the word!) And I prefer electric hands-down for it’s cleanliness, safety, and option to use with or without heat, something you don’t really have much say in with a traditional fireplace! A favorite of mine is this one from HomeClick http://www.homeclick.com/web/catalog/product_detail.aspx?pid=192313 I love the modern convenience of electric, but I also love a rich, traditional look. This one has tons of features, including a dimmer switch. I hope you find what you’re looking for here, and wish you a wonderful winter
they look realistic and you can use with the heater on and off… so for looking they work great. using as a heater they can get expensive.
