I have carpeting in my living room and i was wondering if an electric fireplace would sit against the wall?

or would i have to put something underneath?? i dont understand if an electric fireplace is completely against the wall or is there a bit of space between the 2. For example i have a piece of furniture that has its feet against the wall but theres still space because it kinda tilts forward…im guessing its cuz of the carpet??!!

The fireplace has a ‘floor’ so it can sit on the carpet. Electric plugs into wall and can be against the wall. Electric does not have flames so this would be OK. You don’t want anything blocking the front of the blower.

Turn it on for about 15 minutes or so & occasionally tip it to feel if it is hot anywhere on the bottom. The blower should not be running hot unless it has a severe problem with the motor.

We have our 2nd hand one for 10 years (who knows how old it really is) and never had a problem with it – - we have vacuumed & oiled the motor on occasion.

Most can be placed on carpet they just need 3′ in front of them of open space. You should read the directions to be sure though.
