They’re kind of a con – they only warm up one room ‘for pennies a day’. However say $1.50 a day is $45 a month just to heat one room? Not such a good deal, They’re no better than any other heater in my opinion, as an electrical engineer.

It is kind of a scam.

    They are 1500 watts

A good heater to look at is a quartz tube heater. Some are 750 or 1500 watt – some are 1000 Watt . Most cost about $50 and do the same job as the $349 Amish.

Folks – a watt is a watt. Where I live – it costs $0.08 per 1000 watts per hour to operate an electric heater.

    Whether it is a $25 – 1500 watt Wal-Mart heater or a $349 – 1500 watt Amish heater.
