I am responsible for the food for one night. I have to feed 7 adults and 8 children. Facility wise I’ll have two gas burners and a fire pit with a grate over it. I also have electricity and can use a crock pot or other electrical device. I want something simple so that I can participate in activities during the day. I am comfortable cooking outdoors so I am open to all ideas as long as they’re delicious, and adaptable for kids. Somebody else is making BBQ pork already so that is already taken!

I recently had a paver brick patio built with a fire pit built into the ground. I’m having a hard time finding a round grate to place inside the pit for firewood.

People who cook over an open fire sometimes have a rack over the fire that holds the pots and cooking utensils as well as grates and all kinds of accessories (like a little kitchen by the fire pit). I really want all of that because I like to cook over the fire in my yard. Does anyone know what all of it is called and where I would be able to get something like that? Thanks for your help.

My family and I would like to construct an outdoor brick fire pit (obviously secluded from anything combustible for safety purposes). The plan is to build a circle, about 4 or 5 feet in diameter, and 2 or 3 bricks tall. The functionality would be for barbecuing over a grate, and just hanging out at night around the fire. My only question is, is it legal to use in Suffolk County, NY?

I built a fire pit out of cinder blocks and i want to try to grill over it. Where can I find a grate big enough? (The inside of the fire pit is 32"x32", the outside is 48"x48").
