I have a white brick fireplace, beige furniture, and unfinished wood furniture(which I am contemplating staining dark). I have a modern/contemporary style and the room has plenty of light. I hate the colors green, red, orange, yellow, and purple on walls. So it’s really a matter of blue or gray and dark or light shade of either of those. I like high contrast but am unsure what will match my furniture better if I leave the furniture unfinished and if I decide to stain it dark.
absolutely non-negotiable on the colors I listed as hating because it is not just me, my fiance also hates those as well.

I know you said you didn’t like green but I like greenish-gray color would work well with what you have.
