What grate would be suitable for fire grilling?

by Fire Places on April 30, 2010

I am going camping and want a grate to put over the fire to use for cooking. Some outdoors stores sell good grates, but I feel there’s something simple out there I’m just not thinking of. So where can I get a grate, even used, for bbqing during my trip?

Check HD or Lowe’s, in their grill section. Pick up a Weber 22-1/2" replacement grill. That’s what I use on the tripod over my fire pit. Hope this helps.

the grates out of refrigerators and stoves work for light loads.
