I built a fire pit out of cinder blocks and i want to try to grill over it. Where can I find a grate big enough? (The inside of the fire pit is 32"x32", the outside is 48"x48").

Check the salvage yards in your area. We found huge 48 x 48 steel grates at ours for about 10 bucks. I think these had a former life in material handling, but they work fine for fire pits.
Tacky, but we have used steel shelves out of old refrigerators, or you can also by wire shelving, you would need to "burn off" the plastic coating before cooking.
I once had to go to a welding shop to have them construct a grill for me and they did a great job. You get to choose the spacing, thickness, and the type material. The other option is forage around for one in junk yards, you might get lucky and find what your looking for.
Hi, You can get a 48 inch one [ chrome or stainless steel ] at Fire Magic .com . I sold BBQ’s ,and they were one of our suppliers for grates. Bye…oh you can also get an axle for it,if you want it to turn freely.
